Lydia Gregor, 93, died Sunday March 30, 2014, at home. Born May 28, 1919, in Ukraine, to Daniel and Elsa Wagner Aplas, she came to the United States in 1957, residing in Somerset since 1964. Mrs. Gregor had her Masters Degree in German Literature. She had worked as a Packing Technician at Ethicon, Bridgewater, for twenty-five years. She was a member of St. Andrew Memorial Ukrainian Orthodox Church, South Bound Brook, and a member of St. Andrew’s Sisterhood. Mrs. McGregor was predeceased by her husband Wassyl in 1979. Surviving are her sons, Walter (Helen) McGregor of Flemington, Victor (Jeanne) Gregor of Colorado Springs, CO; her grandson Walter (Nicole) McGregor, and grand daughter Roxanne (Frank) Beck. Funeral Services will be 12:30 P.M. Friday, April 4, at St. Andrew Memorial Ukrainian Orthodox Church, with interment at the St. Andrew’s Cemetery. Visitation will be 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. Thursday, at Hagan-Chamberlain Funeral Home, with a Panachida service at 7:00 P.M.
