Luke Robert Mineo

Luke Robert Mineo, 27, passed away peacefully at home on February 6, 2021. Luke was born at Muhlenberg Hospital in Plainfield, New Jersey on August 18, 1993. He graduated from Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School in 2012. Luke’s greatest joy was spending time with his family whether it was fishing, playing sports, going on vacations, and getting together during the holidays with all his aunts, uncles and cousins. Luke also loved competing in all sports from a young age throughout high school: basketball, football, wrestling, and his favorite of all, baseball where he received many awards. Luke’s kind heart and beautiful smile will be missed by all who knew him. Luke is survived by his parents, John and Lori Mineo; an older brother, John Mineo; a sister, Nikki Gruszecki; a brother-in-law, Eddie Gruszecki; a younger brother, Josh Mineo; two nieces, Avery and Brooke Gruszecki; two grandmothers, Rosalie Mineo and Natalie Sobocinski; 20 aunts and uncles and 33 cousins. “Your presence we miss, your memories we treasure, loving you always, forgetting you never.” Rest in Peace, Luke. In honor of Luke, there will be a public memorial service at St. Bartholomew Church, 2032 Westfield Avenue, Scotch Plains, New Jersey on April 24, 2021 beginning at 10:00 a.m.
