Lucille F. D'Ambrosio

Lucille F. (Stadtmiller) D'Ambrosio, 93 years of age, passed away on 12/23/20. She was born in Shelbyville, IN. Lucille left home to become a nurse thru the Nurse Cadet Corp near the end of WW II and then moved to New York City where she met and married her beloved husband, Eugene J. D'Ambrosio. Lu and Gene (as known to their family and friends) raised their 2 children while moving around the country and overseas for Gene's career in the pharmaceutical industry. Lu was a great mother, cook and bridge player-winning several loving cups for various bridge tournaments. Travel was another passion for Lu and Gene and they were able to visit 6 of the 7 continents together. Lucille was predeceased by her husband, Eugene J. D'Ambrosio, and her son Eugene J. D'Ambrosio, Jr. (known as EJ/Geno). She is survived by her daughter, Diane D'Ambrosio and her 2 grandsons, Eugene Lawerence D'Ambrosio (and his wife Kara) and Christopher Thomas D'Ambrosio. In honor of Lucille, have a mass said for her. No flowers please. A brief, socially distanced visitation will be held on Tuesday 12/29/20 from 10-10:45 at Hagan-Chamberlain Funeral Home, 225 Mountain Ave,. Bound Brook. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 122 High Street, South Bound Brook. Her cremains will be interred in the family plot in Shelbyville, IN at a later time.
