Louise Decastro

Louise Susan DeCastro, 81, died Tuesday, October 18, 2016, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital - Somerset, Somerville. Born November 14, 1934, in Bound Brook, she was the daughter of Angelo “Gigi” and Carmela Berdinella DeCastro. She was a lifelong borough resident. She graduated from Bound Brook High School, Class of 1953, and Berkeley Business School. Louise was an administrative assistant in the Research and Development Division of Union Carbide Corp., Bound Brook, until retirement. A former member of the Sweet Adelines, she enjoyed crossword puzzles, baking, and playing the piano. She was a Communicant of St. Joseph R. C. Church, Bound Brook. Louise is survived by her brothers, Robert (Linda) DeCastro of Bridgewater, George (Barbara) DeCastro of Ocean Township; her sister, Angela (Ron) Robinson of Bound Brook; sister-in-law Patrice DeCastro of Cranford; Godsons Jonathan and Jimmy; nephews Philip and George; nieces Susan, Betsy, Jeanne, Christine, and Gina, great nieces and nephews, and many dear cousins and friends. Louise’s family thanks the Bound Brook Rescue Squad and Police, as well as Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, hospital staff, and EMT. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated 11:00 A.M. Saturday, October 29, 2016, at St. Joseph Church, Bound Brook. Burial was private. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bound Brook Rescue Squad, P.O.
