Lillian Corby

Lillian M. Corby, 102, died Tuesday, October 17, 2017. Born in Bound Brook, she was the daughter of John and Virginia (Consoli) Morano. Lillian worked as the division manager for Sears Roebuck & Company, in Watchung for sixteen years. In 1999, she moved to Dunellen and was very active within the community. She was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church in Dunellen, a member of Triboro Post No. 5479, Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary, and a member of the Dunellen Seniors Club. In 2005, she moved to Lake Ariel, Pennsylvania, to be closer to her family. Lillian was predeceased by her sisters, Jean and Josephine, and her beloved husband, Vernon. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Bain and husband, Tom of Lake Ariel, and her son, John and wife, Deborah of Huntersville, North Carolina; her brother, John Morano of Toms River, five grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. Gathering with the family will be 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 P.M.Thursday, October 19, at the funeral home. Funeral services will be 9:00 A.M. Friday, October 20, at St. John the Evangelist Church, Dunellen. Cremation will be private.
