Lazaro Cuza, affectionately know as Tony, died suddenly on Tuesday, May 31, 2022. Born in Havana, Cuba, Tony grew up in Elizabeth and was a graduate of Elizabeth High School. He worked for Somerset County Public Works for over 15 years. in 1989, Tony settled in Bound Brook with his wife, Cissy and together raised their family. He was an active member of the Bound Brook Community, gladly volunteering his time to the Bound Brook Fire Department for 20 years, coaching numerous teams, including Bound Brook Little League, Bound Brook Rec Basketball and Pop Warner football. He loved watching any sporting event on TV, but his heart was with the Cowboys. When it came to basketball, his devotion wasn't to a specific team; rather to Michael Jordan and LeBron James. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife, Cissy; his children Barbara Dixon, Toni Marie Acosta, and her husband Anthony; Kelly Cuza, David Cuza and his long time companion, Maryam Rizk.
