Kathleen Springer

Kathleen (McWhirr) Springer Kathy passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 12, 2021. She was born on May 5, 1941 in Newark, NJ, where she was raised and met the love of her life, William H. Springer. In 1967 they moved to Bound Brook, where they raised their three children. In 1989 they moved to Hopewell, NJ and then in 1995 they moved into their dream retirement home in the Villas in Cape May County. Kathy was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo and Mahjong. She loved gardening and traveling. Her favorite pastime was going to the beach in Cape May and spending time with the Grant Street Beach Bums. Kathy was predeceased by her husband, William Springer in 1998. She is survived by, and will be sadly missed by her sister Karen Driscoll (Joe); her children Kathleen Pittenger (George), Caroline Scott (Greg), William Springer (Lisa); grandchildren Alyson Klingler (Kurt), Corey Scott, Emily Pittenger, George Pittenger, Rachel Springer, and Alyssa Springer; great grand-children Madelynn and Kurt; nephews William Cieri (Kim) and Joseph Cieri (Lisa). She will also be greatly missed by many loving friends. Visiting will be from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Friday, January 15, 2021 at Hagan—Chamberlain Funeral Home, 225 Mountain Avenue, Bound Brook followed by funeral services at 12:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
