Kate Bennett, 42, of Bridgewater, passed away very suddenly on July 3rd, 2024.
Kate was born to Michael and Barbara Ballas and was raised in Bound Brook. After attending Bound Brook schools most of her life, she spent her last two years of high school at Immaculata, graduating in the year 2000.
While at Immaculata, she met her future husband, Jeremy Bennett, and they went on two have two beautiful daughters, Alexandra (Alex - 8), and Evangeline (Evie - 6).
As family and friends gathered in the hours after her passing, and social media comments came rolling in by the hundreds, some very distinct personality traits came to the fore: she lit up the room, she was always smiling, her laugh was infectious, she was easy to love, she loved well, she was a great person, she made people feel good, and her light will be missed.
Kate’s plate always seemed full and she hated saying “no” to anyone – and when she did something, it always came together as if she planned it out well in advance, because she put it together with pure love.
Her smile was big, her laugh was loud, her hug was tight, and her stories were sometimes larger than life – and she always had a smile, a laugh, a hug, and a story ready to give to whomever she met.
She spent many years managing the office of Comprehensive Family Medicine in Warren, and recent years managing the office of Dr. David Ward in the Robert-Wood Johnson Barnabas Health system. While she enjoyed managing the offices, her true talent and love was working with her teams, greeting patients and helping people through whatever issue they might be facing.
Kate was predeceased by her adoring father, Michael. She leaves behind many heartbroken family members and friends, including her husband and daughters, her mother, her two brothers, Spiro (Emily) and Nick (Tamara), her in-laws Jim and Kathi Bennett, her sister in-law Jessica, and a gaggle of nephews and nieces that got to experience her as fun, loving Aunt Kate.

A funeral service will begin on Friday, July 12 at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
