June Marantz Chamberlain June Marantz Chamberlain, 78, of Columbia, SC, died Sunday, May 30, 2021, at Pruitt Health, Blythewood, SC. Born May 14, 1943, in Manhattan, New York City, she was the daughter of Saul B. and Jean D. Marantz. She resided in Minneapolis, MN, as a young child, before moving and growing up in Kew Gardens, Queens, NY. June later resided in Charlottesville, VA, for two years, then lived in Old Bridge for several years before residing in Bound Brook for 42 years. She moved to Columbia, SC, in 2018. A member of the Class of 1961, June graduated high school from the Cathedral School St. Mary, Garden City, New York. She later went on to attend Somerset County College, North Branch, where she earned her Associate Degree in 1982. June went on to work and retired from the State of New Jersey as a phlebotomist at the Edna Mahon Correctional Facility for Women, Clinton. June was very active in the Order of the Easter Star of New Jersey. She was a Past Grand Officer, serving on the Order's state level. June served on the Board of Directors at the New Jersey Eastern Star Home, Bridgewater, for many years. She was a member and Past Matron of Lydia Chapter No. 41, Order of the Easter Star, Plainfield. She was a member of the Camp Middlebrook Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, Bound Brook, and the Women's Literary Club of Bound Brook. In her spare time, June enjoyed vacationing on Ocracoke Island, NC, for many years, and travelling extensively across the United States and Canada, with her husband, in their travel trailer. Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Mark D. Chamberlain; son, James S. Hibbert, III of Mammoth Lakes, CA; daughter, Elizabeth J. "Lissa" Hibbert; granddaughter, Jacqueline L. Hibbert, both of Las Vegas, NV, as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Memorial visitation will be held 7:00-9:00 P.M., Saturday, July 17, 2021, with Eastern Star rites at 7:30 P.M., at Hagan-Chamberlain Funeral Home, 225 Mountain Avenue, Bound Brook. .
