Julia Mazurak

September 2, 1927 — December 16, 2015

Julia A. Mazurak, 88, died Wednesday, December 16, 2015, at her son’s home in South Plainfield. Julia was born in Bound Brook to Peter and Eva Magulak, and moved to Bridgewater in 1952. She worked in customer service at Olympia Typewriter USA in Branchburg, before retiring in 1991. She was a former communicant of St. Joseph Church, Bound Brook and a communicant of Immaculate Conception, Somerville. She loved to play bingo and spend time with her family. Mrs. Mazurak was predeceased by her siblings, Peter Jr., Mary, Anne, George, Michael, and Johnny. She is survived by her sons, Allan and his wife Lisa of South Plainfield and Walter of Lambertville; her grandchildren, Allan Jr. and his wife Stephanie of San Antonio, Texas, and Stephanie Mazurak of South Plainfield; her sisters, Helen Gold of Spotswood, and Betty Plesa of Bound Brook. A Funeral Mass was held 10:00 A.M. Monday, December 21, 2015, at St. Joseph Church, Bound Brook. Burial of ashes was at Bound Brook Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka Kansas, 66675 ( woundedwarriorproject.org ).
