Julia L. Dorf, 77 died Thursday, August 5, 2021, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital – Somerville. Born in Rockingham PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Julianna (Wrona) Trosky. Julia moved to New Jersey at one year of age. She was a graduate of Bound Brook High School, Class of 1961 and attended Malloy College. She married Ronald R. Dorf in September of 1967 and together, they raised two children. In her early life, Julia loved to roller skate and go for motorcycle rides with her husband. She enjoyed reading, singing, and crocheting. She was a member of the Adult Day Center of Somerset County and enjoyed the friendships that she made there. She would spend her time crocheting hats and scarves for the ADC’s fundraising bazaars. Julia was predeceased by her husband, Ronald R. Dorf, in 2006, and her nephew, Matthew Klikus in 1997. She is survived by her two children, Julianna Perez; Ronald J. Dorf, and his wife, Patricia; her grandchildren Aniela Perez; Cassandra Stelzer, Azriel and Aryiah; her younger sister Lillian Klikus and younger brother Joseph Trosky and his wife Georganna. She is also survived by her nephew, Walter Klikus and niece, Kelly Ann Klikus; nephews Joseph Trosky, Kevin Trosky and Jeremy Trosky. Gathering with the family will be 9:30 to 10:30 AM Monday, August 9, 2021, at Hagan-Chamberlain Funeral Home, 225 Mountain Avenue, Bound Brook, followed by an 11:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Church, Bound Brook. Burial at Resurrection Cemetery in Piscataway will follow. Memorial donations in Julia’s name may be made to the National MS Society at www.nationalmssociety.org/Donate or to the Adult Day Center of Somerset County at http://www.adultdaycenter.org/donate.html. At the request of the family, we kindly ask that all visitors wear face masks while at the funeral home.
