Joyce Plick

Joyce J. Plick, 71, died Tuesday, December 23, 2014, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital - Somerset, Somerville. Born in Union City, she was the daughter of Theodore and Anna (DeStefano) Biribin. She graduated from Holy Family High School, Union City, and attended Rutgers University. A longtime resident of Bound Brook, Joyce was part owner and operator of Bridals by Anita, and a manager at Somerset County Senior Wellness Center, Basking Ridge, for 13 years, before retiring in 2011. She was a very active communicant of St. Joseph Church, Bound Brook . She was a longtime member of the church prayer group and taught CCD for over 30 years. She was active in the Bound Brook School District, serving as President and member of the PTO. She was a member of the Bound Brook Pop Warner Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed cooking and playing cards. Mrs. Plick was predeceased by her brother Robert and his wife Lou Biribin, and her sister-in-law Helen Plick. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Leo Plick; her daughter Dawn (Stuart) Robinson, of Maryland; her son Michael (Jackie) Plick of Cranford; her daughter Gina Plick (Dave Horenciwich) of Manville; her grandchildren, Amelia, Sophie, Alex, Caroline, Aidan, Savannah; her siblings, Richard (Viki) Biribin, Renato (Elaine) Biribin, Carol (William) Rome, Valerie (Tom) Cummings; her brother-in-law Thomas (Lorraine) Plick, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will begin, 9:15 AM, Monday, December 29, the funeral home, followed by a 10:00 A.M Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Church. Cremation will be private. Visiting will be 6:00 - 9:00 P.M. Sunday, at the funeral home.
