Josephine Vicino

Josephine M. Vicino, age 95, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, September 5, 2014, surrounded by her family. Born on March 12, 1919, in Summit, she was a resident of Bridgewater for fifty years. Josephine moved to her daughter’s home in Yardley, following the death of her beloved husband, Louis, in 2008. A homemaker, musician, and avid reader, Josephine enjoyed crossword puzzles and spending time on her computer. She was always receptive to learning new skills and open to new experiences. Her kind and caring manner, sharp wit, concern for others, and sense of humor were appreciated by all who crossed her path. She is survived by her beloved children, Carole (John) Trombadore of Bedminster, Patricia (Charles) Johnsrud of Yardley, and Joseph Vicino of Boston, MA. She was greatly loved and will be deeply missed by her cherished grandchildren, Peter (Sonia) Trombadore , Timothy, Anna, and Kevin Johnsrud, and great-granddaughter, Maria Carolina. A 10:30 A.M. mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 A.M. Friday, September 12, at St. Joseph Church Chapel, East Second Street, Bound Brook. Visitation will be from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. Thursday, at the funeral home. A private burial will take place at St. Teresa’s Cemetery in Summit. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
