Joseph Anthony Mattina, 54, died Thursday, March 5, 2020 at Jefferson Stratford Hospital in Stratford, NJ. Born in Newark, he was the son of the late Angelo and Filomena (Restaino). He worked in the automotive industry as a director of finance. He was a sports enthusiast, rooting for the Rangers, Raiders, Giants, Yankees and Knicks. He also loved listening to '80s Hard Rock. Joseph is survived by his son, Andrew; sister, Dena and her husband, Joseph Moliinaro; his brother, Reverend Louis A. Mattina; and nephews, Anthony and Nicholas. Gathering with family will be 2:00-6:00 PM Wednesday, March 11, 2020, at Hagan-Chamberlain Funeral Home, 225 Mountain Ave., Bound Brook. The funeral will begin 10:00 AM, Thursday, at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Colonia. Entombment will follow at St. Gertrude's Cemetery in Colonia.
