John J. Milesnick, 87, entered into eternal rest peacefully on June 26, 2015, with his family by his side. Born and raised in South Bound Brook, he lived there until moving to Middlesex in 1958. Mr. Milesnick was a US Navy veteran, as well as a US Army veteran. He was stationed in Germany with the 4th Div., 29th FN Battalion, and attained the rank of Staff Sergeant. John was a federal employee of General Services Administration, Belle Mead for 34 years, retiring in 1987. He worked for Bank of America as a messenger, then as mailroom supervisor for 10 years. “Johnny”, as he was called by his friends and family was liked by all and was a friend to many. He was a lifelong Yankee fan and in his younger years he played baseball for local teams, and was an avid bowler in his younger years. He loved hunting, fishing, and spending time with his sons. He also enjoyed his backyard barbecues, cooking for his family and grandchildren. He and his wife, Rita enjoyed many trips to Atlantic City and Cape May. They both enjoyed dancing. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church, Middlesex, Warren County Rod & Gun Club, and Giles-Biondi Post 63 American Legion, Bound Brook. John was predeceased by his beloved wife, Rita; his parents, Pauline and John Milesnick; brothers, Charles, Walter, Andy, George, and Joseph; his sisters, Julia, Mary, Terry, Sadie, Pauline, Anne and Sophia. He is survived by his sons, Tom, and his wife, Mary-Ellen, Gladstone, and Scott, and his wife, Helen, Sergeantsville; five grandchildren Justin, Jesse, Mary-Leigh, Jonathan, and Scott; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 6:00 - 8:00 PM, Wednesday, July 1, 2015, at Hagan-Chamberlain Funeral Home, 225 Mountain Ave., Bound Brook. Graveside services will be 10:30 AM, Thursday, at Bound Brook Cemetery, Bound Brook.
