John Joseph Bursa

John Joseph Bursa 96, died Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at home surrounded by his family in Bound Brook. Born in Wapwallopen, PA, John was the son of Bolek and Anna (Waxmonski) Bursa. Always handy, John built a house in Pennsylvania, and continued to enjoy “puttering” around there on the weekends. John was a resident of Bound Brook for over 60 years and worked as a carpenter for Yedlin Company in Princeton before retiring in 2000. John enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles and rooting for his favorite teams, the Yankees, and the Giants. He enjoyed gardening and grew the tallest tomato plants in town.

John was predeceased by his siblings Marion (Denise) Boyer, Margaret Cortese, Anna (Donna) Mondor, Frank Bursa, Helen Campagna, and Edward Bursa as well as a grandchild. He is survived by his loving wife Martha of 58 years, his three children; Justine Taudien, John Bursa, and Joann Hines; nine grandchildren, and his sister Florence Bursa.

A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at St. Joseph Church in Bound Brook. Burial will follow at Bound Brook Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of Hagan-Chamberlain Funeral Home, Bound Brook.
