John Deleski, Sr.

John Deleski, Sr., 80, died Wednesday, May 28, 2014, at home. Born June 20, 1933, in Somerville, he was the son of Walter and Mary [Adamkowski] Dylewski. He was a lifelong Bound Brook resident and a graduate of Bound Brook High School. John worked forty years as a Chemical Operator for Union Carbide Corporation, Bound Brook, retiring in 1992. He was a lifelong and faithful parishioner of St. Mary of Czestochowa Roman Catholic Church, Bound Brook, where he was a member of the Holy Name Society, the church choir, and served as an usher. He enjoyed spending time with his family, whom he cherished. His great sense of humor and beautiful smile will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. John was predeceased by his parents, his brothers, Walter, Jr., and Joseph; his sisters, Wanda Mathieu and Marion Coolbaugh. He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Lorraine Muller Deleski; his loving children, Wendy (Richard) Norato, Madeline, John, Jr. (Kathy), James, Janice (Keith) Conway, Evelyn (Chris) Arena; four grandchildren, Tom (Jen) Norato, Michael Norato, Kelly Ramirez, Brittaney Deleski; his beloved great-grandson, Christian Ramirez, and his sister, Josephine Howes. Funeral services will be 8:45 A.M. Saturday, May 31, at Hagan - Chamberlain Funeral Home, 225 Mountain Avenue, Bound Brook, followed by a 9:30 A.M. Funeral Mass at St. Mary of Czestochowa Church. Friends will be received at the funeral home 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 P.M. Friday. Entombment will be at Resurrection Burial Park, Piscataway.
