John Neil “Jack” Carroll of Bridgewater, NJ died peacefully June 21, 2020. He was 88. Jack was born and raised in Medford Mass., the middle son of Dorothy and Henry Carroll. He was a 1953 graduate of Lowell Technological Institute, where he received a degree in textile engineering. After college Jack was commissioned in the Marine Corp., and following his enlistment married Margaret (“Peggy” nee Knox) who he met in grade school and to whom he would remain married for 63 years until her death in 2019. Jack enjoyed a long career in the textile industry, first with Spaulding Fibre (Buffalo, NY), followed by Kimberly Stevens as Vice-president of Sales and Marketing, and as President of Whitestone Products. Jack ended his business career as owner and President of Compass Corp. Jack leaves behind daughter Leslie Smith (Brad), grandchildren, Nicole and Lauren, and great-grandson Cameron; son Mark (Dayna), grandchildren, Abigail and John; daughter Lori Belliveau (Paul), and grandchildren, Megan, Michael and Matthew; and daughter Lynne Burke (Michael), and grandchildren, Kate, Jane, Kimberly, and Jillian. Never without a pocketknife, Jack was an optimist who will be remembered for his kindness, hard work, and commitment to family and friends. A memorial service will begin 11:00 AM, Thursday, June 25th at Hagan-Chamberlain Funeral Home, Bound Brook.
