Jeannette Consalvo, 88, died August 3, 2016, at her home in Martinsville. Born in Phillipsburg, she was the daughter of Percey and Florence [Gerhart] Sofield. Raised in Middlesex, Jeannette graduated from Bound Brook High School in 1945. It was during her walks to school where she met her future husband, Frank, the owner of Frank’s Petroleum. They married in 1947 and lived in Bound Brook, before settling in Martinsville to raise their family. Jeannette worked as a lab technician for Carters Products in New Brunswick. She began bowling with her friends from Carters, and continued to bowl for the next fifty years. She loved animals and her pets, traveling with family and friends, going to the beach, and was always up for an adventure. She was a lifelong communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church in Martinsville. Jeannete was predeceased by her beloved husband, Frank in 2004, and her siblings, Elmer, Kenneth, Robert and Verna Sofield. She is survived by her loving children, Frank Consalvo of Florida, Robert Consalvo of Pennsylvania, and Patricia Cansalvo (John Garrison) of Flemington; and her beloved grandchildren, Kristen, Amanda, and Robert. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin 10:00 A.M., Friday, August 5, 2016, at Blessed Sacrament Church, Martinsville. Burial will be at Resurrection Burial Park, Piscataway. Relatives and friends will gather Thursday from 4:00 - 8:00 PM the funeral home.
