On Tuesday May 18, 2021, the beautiful soul of Jeanne Ellen Pohl passed on unexpectedly at Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston. Jeanne was born on February 20, 1956 in Plainfield to John Francis Pohl Jr and Mary Anne Pohl (Douglas). Raised in Middlesex, she graduated High School there in 1974. She went on to have two daughters Amanda Merren (Fischer) and Danielle Fischer. After receiving her degree from Raritan Valley Community College in Early Childhood Education, Jeanne became a phenomenal teacher who took care of and taught hundreds of children over her 23 years at Childtime Learning Center in Somerset,. A 24-year resident of Dunellen NJ, Jeanne returned home to Middlesex after retirement. A lover of classic Rock n Roll, Jeanne played music and saw live bands whenever she was able. The beach was her most loved place to spend time and she spent many summers causing trouble down at the Jersey Shore with Carol Lynn and the rest of the Straka family. Every October, without fail, she would gather her family and head to the pumpkin patch. Jeanne prided herself on being a mother and shoulder to lean on for her family as well as anyone who needed a mother figure, no questions asked. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished by all who knew her. Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents John and Mary Anne Pohl. She is survived by her siblings James, William, Joeseph, and Joanne. She also leaves behind her daughters Amanda and Danielle, as well as her grandchildren Isaiah, Layla, Jadyn, and Jazzalyn.
