Janice Ruby DiAlfonso, 76, died Saturday, December 19, 2015, at her home, with her family by her side. Born in Middlesex, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Ruby [Burns] Crowell. Janice was a graduate of Bound Brook High School. She married her high school sweetheart, and together they lived in Bridgewater and raised their family. She was the Executive Secretary to the Superintendent of Schools, Hillsborough Board of Education, for thirty-one years, before retiring in 2001. She enjoyed time spent with her family, monthly lunches with her special friends, and traveling to Florida with her husband in their motor home. Janice was predeceased by her brother Raymond Crowell. She is survived by her beloved husband of fifty-seven years, Thomas DiAlfonso, Sr., her children, Thomas DiAlfonso, Jr., and his wife Linda, of Florida, Lynne Lewis, and her husband Steven of Middlesex, and Barbara D’Aprile, and her husband Raymond of Bethlehem; her seven grandchildren, Nicole, Daniel, Christopher, Kevin, Michael, Steven, and Olivia; her great grandsons, Wesley and Benjamin; her sister, Madeline Murray, and her brother, Bill Crowell. Visitation will be Tuesday, 1:00 to 4:00 P.M., with a funeral service beginning at 3:30 P.M., at the funeral home. Cremation will be private.
