James Clement Donlan, 63, passed away on June 30, 2022. Jim was the son of Clement and Patricia (Cosgrove) Donlan. Jim grew up in Bound Brook and was a 1977 graduate of Bound Brook High School. He had a varied set of professions including restaurant owner, corrections, and sales but was most proud of his time in law enforcement and relished any opportunity to tell stories about that time in his life. Jim loved music (especially classic rock and blues), cooking, and talking about current events and politics over a good cup of coffee. A gifted conversationalist, Jim was able to strike up a discussion with anybody in earshot and turn them into a friend with his famous sense of humor.
Jim is survived by his son Brian James Donlan (Dorothy), his brothers Patrick (Jolene) and Joseph, his sisters Nancy (Patrick) Schiraldi, Margaret (Roger) Tannen, and Maureen (Bill) Ryan, brother-in-law William Kohler, and several beloved nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his loving parents and his sister Mary Catherine Kohler.
