Helen Wawrzyniak, 92, beloved wife of the late Eugene Wawrzyniak, who died in 2007, died Friday, October 2, 2015, at Raritan Health and Extended Care Center, Raritan. Born in Bound Brook, Helen was a lifelong borough resident. She was the daughter of the late Francis and Rose Boroski. Helen and Gene were the longtime owners of the Roosevelt Café, a landmark in Bound Brook for many years. She was a Communicant of St. Mary of Czestochowa R. C. Church, Bound Brook, and was baptized there as well. Helen was predeceased by her parents, her beloved husband Gene, an infant daughter Elizabeth, and her daughter-in-law Joanne Wawrzniak. She is survived by her devoted children, Andrew of Collegeville, Pennsylvania, Barbara (Chuck) Deppe of Hopewell Junction, New York, Irene (Frank) Mackinson of Bound Brook, Laura Peltack of Raritan, Francis (Ellen) of Ponte Verda Beach, Florida; her grandchildren, Drew, Jason, Allison (Dan), Frankie, Jeff (Mel), Sarah (Sonny), Jacquelyn (Tom), Bridget (Bryan), Jill (Joel), Heather, Amanda (Mike), Michael, Matt, Zach, and nine great-grand children. Funeral services will begin 9:00 AM Wednesday, October 7, 2015, at Hagan - Chamberlain Funeral Home, 225 Mountain Ave., Bound Brook, followed by a 9:30 A.M. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary of Czestochowa Church. Visitation with the family will be 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, at the funeral home.
