Helen Oliver

Helen Celine Oliver, 93, died Friday, August 12, 2016, at Bridgeway Care Center in Bridgewater. Born in the Bronx, New York, she was the daughter of Joseph and Carmella Sinibaldi, and sister of Dorothy and Concetta Sinibaldi. Helen was a lifelong resident of Bound Brook. She graduated from Bound Brook High School in 1941, and from nursing school in Somerville. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse, working in the Intensive Care Unit at Somerset Medical Center, and with Doctors Wachtel and Weisfeld in Bound Brook. She retired in 1993 at the age of seventy. Helen was a devoted Parishioner of St. Joseph Church in Bound Brook. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters, Court Gloria 492, the Rosary Altar Society, and the Mary Marthas. Helen was predeceased by her husband, James L. Oliver, Sr., in 1971, and her son, James L. Oliver, Jr., in 1991. She is survived by her sons, Alfred and his wife Donna of Middlesex, and Jon and his wife Theresa of Bridgewater; her grandchildren, Erin, Jared, Christopher, and Jamie; her great grandchildren, Chelsea, Brandon, Hayley, Juliana, Rudy, Max, Braden, Kamryn, and Kyle, and her great-great grandson, Isaiah. Helen left behind a legacy of a loving family, wonderful friends, and a love of her church. She loved to travel and be around those she loved. She always relished her time with family and friends, never said no to helping others, and her love and memories will live forever in our hearts. We miss you Mom/Grandma! A Mass of Christian Burial will begin 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, August 17, 2016, at St. Joseph Church in Bound Brook. Burial will be at Bound Brook Cemetery. Relatives and friends will gather Tuesday from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital , P.O.
