Helen Cromonic

Helen Cromonic, 96, died Saturday, November 7, 2015, at St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunkswick. She had been a resident at McCarrick Care Center, Somerset for 18 months, prior to her death. Born in Easton, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of John and Anna (Oleksak) Hudock. Mrs. Cromonic grew up in West Easton, and graduated from Easton High School in 1937. In 1947, she married William Cromonic. They moved to Bound Brook in 1965. Mrs. Cromonic worked for Singer Sewing Machine Company in Brooklyn and Easton. She was an excellent seamstress, making clothes for herself and her family. She enjoyed needlework, writing icons, reading and baking. Christmas cookies were her specialty. She would bake dozens and Mr. Cromonic would deliver them to friends and families. Mrs. Cromonic was predeceased by her son, Richard W., her husband, William; brothers, John, Steve, and Michael; sisters, Catherine Raner, Anna Mermon, Mary Ramirez, and Julia Sestak. She is survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 9:00 - 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 11, 2015, at the funeral home. Panakhyda services will begin 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Funeral Liturgy will be 11:00 A.M. at St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church, 1900 Brooks Boulevard, Hillsborough, New Jersey 08844. Burial will be private. Memorial donations may be to St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church.
