Helen Carina

Helen B. Carina, 83, died Monday, January 5, 2015, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital - Somerset, Somerville. Born March 7, 1931, and raised in Bound Brook, she was the daughter of George and Anna Suk Minerd. She was a lifelong borough resident. Helen attended the Bound Brook school system and was a faithful communicant of St. Joseph Church, Bound Brook. She married Chester H. Carina in 1955, and raised her three children. She retired as a Group Leader at Burroughs Electronics, Warren, in 1985. She enjoyed embroidering, reading, family vacations to the Jersey shore, Lake George, NY, and many road trips. Helen was predeceased by her husband, Chester, in 2012. She is survived by her sons, The Reverend Chester H. Carina of Old Bridge; William Carina of Bound Brook; her daughter, Barbara Conner of Bound Brook; her beloved granddaughter, Kelly Ramirez of Bound Brook, and great-grandson, Christian James Ramirez of Bound Brook. Visiting will be 9:30 - 11:00 A.M. today at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, followed by an 11:00 A.M. Funeral Mass. Interment will be at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Bridgewater.
