Glenn J Gallacher

Glenn Joseph Gallacher went to be with the Lord unexpectedly due to catastrophic medical event that caused a fall, on September 15, 2021. He was born on January 21, 1956, to Joseph and Elizabeth (Betty) Gallacher at Somerset Hospital, Somerville, NJ. He grew up in Martinsville, NJ and graduated from Bridgewater-Raritan High School East. He furthered his education receiving a B.A. degree from Ramapo College of New Jersey. Later, he attended Pepperdine University in California and received a Juris Doctorate degree. Glenn had a varied career working in the Mortgage Banking industry, the Legal field, as well as construction. For many years he served as a volunteer with the Finderne First Aid & Rescue Squad. Glenn always put the needs of others before himself. He was there to help family, friends and even strangers. He maintained a close relationship with many of his high school and college friends. Glenn was a Christian man. He grew up attending Middlesex Chapel and later became a member of the Millington Baptist Church where he was very involved in the youth ministry and their retreats. He also travelled several times to Senegal Africa on mission trips. Glenn is survived by his mother, Elizabeth (Betty) Gallacher, Edward (Nancy), Martin (wife Barbara) Gallacher and his sister, Elizabeth (Liz) Gallacher. He was a devoted father to his son, David, and daughter, Julia. The love of his life was his six-year-old granddaughter, Raegan. Along with his sister, Liz, he was an integral part of Raegan’s care. He is also survived by his nieces, Casey (husband Adam) Cattell, Kelly (husband Kevin) Davis, Timothy (wife Joanna) Gallacher and great nephews, Austin and Jonathan Davis, Nathan Cattell, Cameron Gallacher and great niece, Charlotte Gallacher. He also leaves many cousins and great number of friends. He is survived by his former wife, Suzanne Percival. He was pre-deceased by his father, Joseph Gallacher, and his sister Janet Gallacher. A memorial service to honor Glenn will take place at the Millington Baptist Church at 520 King George Road in Basking Ridge, NJ on Saturday, September 25, 2021. Visitation with family will be 10:00 AM at the church with the funeral service beginning at 11:00 AM. A luncheon will follow. Funeral services are being provided by Hagan-Chamberlain Funeral Home of Bound Brook, NJ.
