Geraldine Synnott, 77, died Wednesday, November 25, 2015, at St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born June 25, 1938 in the Bronx, New York, she was the daughter of John and Antoinette Monica Providento. She was a graduate of Theodore Roosevelt High School, the Bronx, Class of 1956. She resided in Bound Brook since 1971, just before Hurricane Doria struck the area. Geraldine worked as a Lunch Aide at Lafayette Elementary School, Bound Brook, for fifteen years. A homemaker, dedicated to her family, she enjoyed cooking, gardening, and time spent with her family. She was a communicant of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Bound Brook, where she sang in the choir. Geraldine was pre-deceased by her granddaughter, Kayleigh. She is survived by her loving husband of fifty-six years, Thomas C. Synnott; her children, Christine (Joseph) Mundy of Frenchtown, Thomas John (Mary) Synnott of Schuylkill Haven, Pennsylvania, Patrick (Angelica) Synnott of Lakewood, Colorado; her five beloved grandchildren, Katherine and Andrew House; Emily, Samuel, and Declan Synnott; her sister, Rosemary Fisher of Georgia, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 9:30 A.M. Tuesday, December 1, at the funeral home, followed by a 10:00 A.M. Funeral Mass at St. Joseph Church. Interment will be at Resurrection Burial Park, Piscataway. Friends will be received at the funeral home 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 P.M. Monday.
