George J. Jacus, 87, died Monday, May 8, 2017, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, Somerville. Born in Manville, he was the son of John and Katherine (Mack) Jacus. George was a graduate of Bound Brook High School and a United States Army veteran, serving from 1951 - 1953, during the Korean War. In 1950, George and his wife Annette settled in Bound Brook and began their family. He worked for over thirty years at Johns Manville as a quality control inspector. He was a member of Bound Brook Lodge No. 1388, B.P.O. Elks, loved bowling, golf, working outdoors, and the Brooklyn Dodgers. George loved his family and showed that love through his actions. He was always willing to run errands and lend a hand to his family and friends. George was predeceased by his grandsons, Gennaro Trocchia and Brian Jacus. He is survived by his wife of sixty-six years, Annette; his daughter Kathleen Trocchia, son Thomas (Laurie) Jacus; grandson Garrett Jacus, and his brothers Frank (Ellen) Jacus and John (Nancy) Jacus. Relatives and friends are invited to gather with the family on Thursday, May 11, 2017, from 4:00 - 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Funeral Services will begin 11:00 A.M. Friday, at the funeral home. Cremation will be private.
