Fred Zaetz

Fred Zaetz, 83, died Monday, September 18, 2017, at home. Born September 11, 1934, in New York City, he was the son of William and Julia Balanduke Zaetz. He was a longtime Somerset resident. Fred retired in 1999 as a service technician for Ingersol Rand Company, Edison, after thirty-five years with the company. Prior to that, he owned and operated a Chevron service station in Somerset. He was an avid New York Mets baseball and New York Giants football fan, and enjoyed trips to Atlantic City. Fred was predeceased by his stepdaughters, Patricia Bianco, and Catherine and Joanne Puchalek. He is survived by his loving wife, Lucille Roth Zaetz, his son, Fred W. Zaetz, Jr. of Flemington; his stepson, Albert Puchalek of Franklin Park; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Visiting will be 10:00 - 11:00 A.M. Saturday, September 23, at the funeral home, followed immediately by the funeral service at 11:00. Interment will be at Resurrection Burial Park, Piscataway.
