Frank Bonini Sr.

Frank Bonini Sr., 91, died Thursday, December 10, 2020, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Somerville. Born in North Plainfield, he was the son of Frank and Ida (Bartochinni) Bonini. He grew up in Plainfield and began working at a young age as a printer at Art Color Printing Company in Dunellen. He was a career print pressman and had worked at multiple print shops throughout his career. He was a volunteer with the Plainfield and Westfield National Guard from 1954 to 1964, a Master Mason at Jerusalem Lodge #26, and a congregant of the Bound Brook United Methodist Church. Frank loved bowling; he was a member of the Bowlmor Seniors and Wednesday Nighters Leagues. Frank was predeceased by his wife, Josephine in 1992 and his brother Pete Bonini. He is survived by his daughter Laura Cates of Piscataway, his son Frank Jr. of Mystic Island; his three grandchildren, Dean Cates, Frank III, and Jessica Bonini; his loving companion, Nancy Klinghoffer of Bound Brook; and many friends. A graveside service will be 1:15 PM, Tuesday, December 15, 2020, at Hillside Cemetery 1401 Woodland Ave., Scotch Plains NJ, 07076. Arrangements are with Hagan-Chamberlain Funeral Home, Bound Brook.
