Francis R Yantz, 100, passed away on October 1, 2023, at Dellridge Health and Rehab Center in Paramus. Born in Plainfield, NJ and raised in Rahway, he resided is Morris Township, Succasunna and Panther Valley before living in Somerset, NJ.
A veteran of Normandy France in World War II, he attended New York University, receiving a Bachelor of Science and Master of Business Administration degrees.
In his early business career, he was traffic manager for Mueller Macaroni in Jersey City and director of traffic for Hudson Pulp and Paper in New York City. He became the New Jersey Director of General Business Services and retired as the owner of Hill Press, Bernardsville.
While living in Morris Township, together with three neighbors, he organized and built the Stardust Swim Club, Morris Township and served on the committee for the construction of the municipal swimming pool on Sussex Ave.
Francis was predeceased by his wife, Anne and his son Christopher. Surviving are his children Madeleine (Richard) Nehls, Eric, Deborah (Edward) Rowland, Frederick, and Elise (Kevin) Falvey; 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Gathering with the family be 5:00 – 8:00 PM, Thursday, October 5, 2023, at Hagan-Chamberlain Funeral Home, 225 Mountain Ave. Bound Brook. A amass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM, Friday at Our Lady of Mercy Church, South Bound Brook. Burial will follow at St. Gertrude Cemetery, Woodbridge.
