Felice Zujkowski

April 8, 1925 — April 18, 2022

Felice Zujkowski, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister and lifelong resident of Bound Brook, passed away peacefully at RWJ University Hospital/Somerset on April 18, 2022 at the age of 97. She was the daughter of the late Anthony and Mary Mignella Ricci, also of Bound Brook.

Felice graduated from B.B.H.S. in 1942 and married the love of her life, her high school sweetheart, Edward Zujkowski, Sr. in April. 1947. They were married for 57 beautiful years before Ed passed away. Felice was the perfect combination of homemaker, career woman and clubwoman. She and Ed raised three sons: Alan, Edward and Joseph. When Felice re-entered the job market, she spent her working years in Bound Brook: first as a tax clerk in Bound Brook Borough Hall and then for the Bound Brook Board of Education offices on Maple Avenue until her retirement in 1980.

A devout Catholic, Felice served as Grand Regent for Court Gloria #462, Catholic Daughters of the Americas and as President of the Rosary Altar Society at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in B.B. She served as Chairman for many fundraisers and social events. She also served as PTA President at LaMonte School where her three sons attended.

Felice supported many veterans’ groups with her husband Edward, a veteran of WWII. She maintained her membership in the American Legion Auxiliary, Unit 63. Felice and Ed were in a bowling league for many years and were a handsome couple to behold when they danced the polka together at countless weddings and celebrations. She also enjoyed the well-deserved reputation of being an excellent cook and baker. Felice was a vibrant and lovely woman who contributed greatly to her family and community until a major stroke several years ago curtailed her ability to participate in many of her interests.

Felice was pre-deceased by her husband, Edward; her sons Edward and Joseph; a brother, Michael Ricci, Sr. of Middlesex; sisters Carmella Juronics and Dorothy Blasse of Bound Brook and another brother Anthony Ricci, Jr. also of Bound Brook. {Also deceased are in-laws Elizabeth Ricci, Stephen Juronics and John Blasse}.

Felice is survived by her loving and devoted son and daughter-in-law, Alan and Jeanne Zujkowski, their son, Alan, daughter Ashley Botts all of Bound Brook. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews and cousins whom she loved very much.
