Faye Gloger, 88, died Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital - Somerset with her family by her side. Born in Somerville, she was the daughter of the late Hyman and Sara ( Franklin) Frankel. Faye grew up in Somerset and enjoyed riding horses. It was while horseback riding at the Triple Lake Ranch in Succasunna, NJ where she met Albert her future husband. They married in 1958, and lived in Bound Brook before settling down in Middlesex in 1960 to raise their daughters. Faye worked for AT&T in Somerset for 15 years as a mail clerk, retiring in 2000. After her retirement, she worked part time at the Giving Nest Preschool early care program in North Plainfield, she loved working with the children. In her spare time, Faye enjoyed gardening, crossword puzzles, game shows and classic movies. She had a soft spot for animals, especially neighborhood cats. She made sure that the local cats were fed and cared for. She loved spending time with her family, especially during the holidays. She was deeply loved and will be truly missed by her family and friends. Faye was predeceased by her beloved husband Albert in 1996, and her siblings Morris Frankel, Becky Horowitz, and Ethel Gordon. She leaves behind her two daughters Marcy Rayner and her husband, Steven of North Plainfield and Bonnie Varga and her husband, Jim of Middlesex; her grandsons, Aaron Maisto and Tyler Rayner, and her sister Evelyn Saltman. Gathering with the family will begin at 9:30 AM Sunday, June 10, 2018, followed by a 10:00 AM funeral service at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Beth Israel Cemetery in Woodbridge.
