Eula Mae Walsh passed away peacefully at her home on October 6, 2014. Born May 1, 1921, she was the daughter of Grover Cleveland Markham and Nannie B. Stanley Markham in Banner, Virginia. She married Wallace E. Walsh of Carbondale, Pennsylvania, and lived in Manville from 1946, until moving to South Bound Brook in 1955, where she resided the rest of her life. She worked for many years at Far Hills Inn, Bedminster, Watchung View Inn, Bridgewater, and Septembers on the Hill, Watchung. She was devoted to her family and her “down home” roots. She was an incredibly unselfish person who enjoyed planning and holding family get-togethers, reading, country and bluegrass music, and all things involving her family. Eula was predeceased by her husband, Wallace, in 1995, her sons, Allan, in 1998, Tommy in 2010; her sisters Louvinny “Vinnie,” Leila Virginia “Deat,” June; and her brothers, Grover, Jr., Paul Wolfe, Charlie Ford, Ralph Stanley, David Earl, and Joe Luke. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Jo Klem of Bridgewater; her daughters-in-law, Mary Walsh of Whitehouse Station, Lorraine Nicholls of Middlesex; her brothers, John Markham (wife Helen) and Harold Markham, of Coeburn, Virginia; her grandchildren, Brett Allan Walsh (wife Karen), Kelly Lyn Natale (husband Joe), Jill Klem Sylvester (husband Chris), Joseph Klem, Jr., Allison Walsh; great grandchildren, Emily, Riley, Connor, Brooke, Michaela, and many nieces and nephews, all of whom she adored. Eula was given special care in the final years of her life by wonderful and compassionate caregivers, Evelyn McDonald and her daughters, Donna and Suzette McDonald. Friends and family will gather on Friday, October 10, beginning at 4:30 P.M., with a celebration of Eula’s life at 6:30 P.M., at Hagan - Chamberlain Funeral Home, 225 Mountain Avenue, Bound Brook.
