Elizabeth Newman Polcou, 92, passed away Friday, March 11, 2022, at the Jewish Heritage Regency in Franklin Township. Born On September 6, 1929, in New Brunswick, NJ, she was the daughter of John and Elizabeth (Bingert) Newman, formerly from Romania. Elizabeth graduated from Highland Park High School in 1948.

Elizabeth married Duane N. Polcou of St. Paul, Minnesota, on May 23, 1954. Elizabeth was a loving mother to two children, and doting grandmother. She had love and compassion for animals and enjoyed reading books, singing along to music and dabbled in art, with drawing being a favorite.

Elizabeth is predeceased by her parents, her husband, her brothers; Joseph, John, Peter and Michael Newman; and her sister; Barbara Newman Demling. She is survived by her son, Duane Polcou of Somerset her daughter, Lisa Polcou Wilkes, and her grandson, Christopher Malone, of North Brunswick; her grand-daughter Allison Kroese and her husband John S. Kroese, of East Brunswick in addition to her five great grandchildren Nicholas and Bradley Piereth, and John (Jhett), Hudson and Isla Elizabeth Kroese. Plus many extended family members.

Gathering will be Noon, Thursday, March, 17, 2022, with a prayer service beginning at 12:45 PM at Hagan-Chamberlain Funeral Home, 225 Mountain Ave., Bound Brook, NJ.
