Eileen Koehler

Eileen B. Koehler, 90, died Friday, February 2, 2018, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital -Somerville. Eileen was born in Carteret, the daughter of the late George and Anne (Homall) Bensulock. She graduated from Carteret High School in 1944, and Berkeley Secretarial School in New York City. Eileen moved to Bound Brook in 1959, and made it her home. Eileen was an active communicant of St. Joseph Church, Bound Brook. She served as president of the St. Joseph Parent Teacher Association, as Cub Scout Den Leader - St. Joseph Pack No. 47. She was a member of the Raritan Valley Country Club and the Woman’s Literary Club of Bound Brook. Eileen had been a Sales Representative for over forty years with ERA/Van Syckel/Century 21 Realtor. She was a member of their Million Dollar Club and was the recipient of numerous awards for outstanding service with in her field. Eileen was predeceased by her husband, John F. Koehler in 1973, and her beloved cousin, Msgr. Richard Behl. She is survived by her son, Edward Bruce Koehler of Beach Haven, New Jersey, her grandsons, Stephen (Jennifer) Koehler, Brent (Lori) Koehler and Gregory (Kathryn) Koehler all of Lawrence, New Jersey, daughter-in-law Karen Koehler of Lawrence and eight great-grandchildren Aaron, Alexis, Autumn, Emily, Bryan, Noah, Mason, and Gavin. Gathering will be 2:00 – 6:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 6, 2018, at the funeral home. Funeral services will begin 9:00 A.M. Wednesday, February 7, 2018, the funeral home, followed by a 10:00 A.M. Funeral Mass at St. Joseph Church. Burial will be at Resurrection Burial Park, Piscataway. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105-9959.
