Dorothy Gianotto

Dorothy (Thompson) Gianotto, died peacefully at home with family by her side on December 22, 2022. She was 75. She was born in Dunellen, NJ to the late Charles and Dorothy (Reinhardt) Thompson. In 1954, Dorothy moved to Somerset, NJ and graduated from Franklin High School. It was in high school where she met her husband Frank Gianotto Jr. Married in 1969 in South Bound Brook, NJ, Dorothy and Frank lived in Somerset before moving to Toms River in 2003. She was a life member of the Somerset Fire and Rescue Ladies Auxiliary. Family always came first during Dorothy's life and spending time with her grandchildren was her greatest joy.

Dorothy was predeceased by her husband Frank Jr. in 2020 and her sister Carol Stab in 2021.

She is survived by her three sons Frank Gianotto III, his wife, Nicole; Christopher Gianotto and wife Kimberly; Jason Gianotto and his wife Anne-Marie; seven grandchildren; Frank IV, Matthew, Jason Jr, Jayden, Nicholas, Kylie, and Anthony; two great-grandchildren, her sisters, Sue and her husband John Leoniy, and Pat Thompson and her partner Linn Ashton, and many nieces and nephews.

Cremation and entombment at Resurrection Burial Park in Piscataway, NJ was private. Arrangements were in the care of Hagan-Chamberlain Funeral Home, Bound Brook, NJ. Memorial donations in Dorothy's name may be made to Somerset Fire and Rescue at https://station56.org
