Doris Holecz Joyce, 84, died Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at Bridgeway Care Center, Hillsborough. Born in New Brunswick, she was the daughter of Frank and Mary (Donnelly) Collins. She was a graduate of New Brunswick High School, Class of 1947. She worked as an Executive Administrator at Ruberoid-GAF Corporation in South Bound Brook and as a Court Administrator for North Plainfield and South Bound Brook. Doris was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the South Bound Brook Fire Company for over 20 years, serving as past president. She was a member of the Municipal Court Administrators Association of New Jersey, and the New Brunswick High School Reunion Committee for the Class of ‘47, organizing class reunions every five years. She enjoyed bingo, reading, bowling, and travelling, both domestic and abroad, especially cruises. She had lived in South Bound Brook, Middlesex, and Manasquan and had been living in Brick during the summer months and Lauderdale by the Sea, FL. during the winter months. Doris was predeceased by her husbands, Edward F. Holecz, Sr. in 1985, and Edward J. Joyce in 1999; her son, Edward F. Holecz, Jr.; and her brother, Albert Young. She is survived by her daughters, Carol-Ann and her husband, Robert Kemp of South Bound Brook; Loretta, and her husband, Ricky Duardo of Middlesex; grandson, Edward Kemp of Jersey City; sister, Marilyn King of Delray Beach FL. and Brick; several nieces and a nephew and her dear friends of Club “47, Mary, Bette and Bernadette. Visitation with the family will be 12:00 - 3:00 PM, Saturday, January 17, 2015, at the funeral home. Services are private.
