Dollie Haase

Dollie Haase, 87, passed away Sunday April 30, 2017, at home. Born December 11, 1929, in Spring Lake, she was the daughter of Elmer C. and Dorothy Lancaster Hoagland. Dollie resided in Bound Brook before moving to Bridgewater in 1965. She graduated Bound Brook High School, Class of 1948. Dollie was a wonderful homemaker. She also enjoyed working at Chrysalis Boutique, Warren, for ten years. She was a member of the Bound Brook Garden Club, Women’s Literary Club, P.E.O. and was a Cub Scout Den Mother. She was a member of The Presbyterian Church at Bound Brook, where she served as an ordained Elder and Deacon, taught nursery school, was a member of the Pastor Nominating Committee, and other committees and clubs including Brook Fellowship. She was an avid baker, enjoyed tennis, skiing, the Beach and the Lake, and loved decorating, crossword puzzles and reading. Dollie was predeceased by her loving husband of sixty-eight years, Robert E. Haase, who died on January 14, 2016. She is survived by her sister, Diane Bolyard of Colorado; and her children: Susan (Ed) Dinkins of Centennial, Colorado, Nancy (Jim) Hannon of Lebanon, Betsy Haase Reimer of Bound Brook and her son Ted (Ellen) Haase of Chatham; her grandchildren Kristin, Eric, Kelly, Casey, Melissa, Chelsea, Heather; her beloved great-grandchildren: Kyra, Matthew, Makenna, Autumn, Marley, Tucker, Kealey, Brady and Jack, and her sister-in-law, Ruth Harris of Bridgewater. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, May 4, at The Presbyterian Church at Bound Brook. Interment will be at the Bound Brook Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2:00 – 4:00 pm and 7:00 – 9:00 pm on Wednesday, the 3rd, at the funeral home.
