Diana Aversa

Diana Marie Aversa, 57, died Tuesday, November 4, 2014, at home. Born September 23, 1957, in Jersey City, she was the daughter of Francesco and Rosemarie Gargiulo Aversa. She graduated from William L. Dickinson High School, Jersey City, Class of 1975, and had attended Fairleigh - Dickenson University, Teaneck. She had lived in Belford for twenty-five years, moving to Piscataway in 2011. Diana worked as a dental assistant for Davis Saltzberg & Wenger Dental Associates, Jersey City, for over thirty years, retiring in 2011. She enjoyed cooking and gardening. Diana is survived by her brothers, Frank Aversa of Sparta, Anthony Aversa of Warminster, Pennsylvania; her sister, Theresa R. DeStio and husband Paul of Middlesex, and her nieces and nephews, Erica, Nicky, Billy and Paige. A Memorial Prayer Service will be 10:30 A.M. Saturday, November 15, at Hagan - Chamberlain Funeral Home. Cremation was private. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, P.O.
