Della Rae Goss

Forever in our hearts, our dear Mother Della Rae Goss, who was 97, ascended into Heaven on March 28, 2024, at home.

She was born on March 15, 1927, in Lewistown, PA, the daughter of the late Raymond and Bertha (LeCompte) Hickman of Burnham, PA.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Goss, and sister, Clare, of PA.

Surviving children: Bonnie (Wayne) of NJ, Stephen (Michelle) of CA, Linda of WV, Kathy (Joe) of FL, and Theresa (Christopher) of NJ; thirteen grandchildren, twenty-seven great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. Surviving siblings: sister Mary Jane and brother Robert of PA. Surviving sisters-in-law: Joyce and Nancy of PA.

She served as recording secretary for the Artist and Crafters Club and was a member of the Bead Society of Central NJ in Somerset County. Above all, Della Rae enjoyed spending time with her family, crafting, and time in her flower garden.

A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, April 12, 2024 at the Hagan-Chamberlain Funeral Home, 225 Mountain Avenue, Bound Brook, NJ from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Interment at Princeton Memorial Park in Robbinsville, NJ.

Memorial donations in Della’s memory may be made to Martin and Edith Stein Hospice, 354 DeMott Lane, Somerset, NJ 08873, for their compassionate care during her illness.
