Crispin Anthony Holder, 44, died on Sunday, September 4, 2022, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in East Orange, he was the son of Crispin and Joan (Chandler) Holder. Anthony or Chris, as many knew him as, grew up in Franklin Park. He was a graduate of Franklin Township High School, class of 1996, where he played trumpet in the marching band. Prior to his illness he was attending classes at Nyack College and worked in concession stands at the Prudential Center for two years. Anthony’s love and peace came from the Lord. He was known in may churches in NJ and NY and had been part of the ministerial staff at New Testament Church in Brooklyn. Nothing brought Anthony more peace than gospel music and the love for his family.
Anthony was predeceased by his father Crispin in 2003. He is survived by his loving mother, Joan; sisters Sophia Allen, and her husband Jason and Michelle Dawkins, and her husband Harry Jr.; Brousin, Duane Chandler, and his wife Cheryl; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Gathering with the family will be Saturday, September 17, 2022, 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM at Abundant Life Church of God, 632 Colts Neck Road, Freehold, NJ 07728, followed by a funeral service beginning at 9:00 AM. Burial will be 11:30 AM at Hillside Cemetery, 1401 Woodland Avenue, Scotch Plains, NJ.
Arrangements are in the care of Hagan-Chamberlain Funeral Home, 225 Mountain Avenue, Bound Brook, NJ.
