Craig Loren Citrenbaum, 52, died Tuesday, March 1, 2016, at home. Born June 2, 1963, in Somerville, he was the son of David and Evelyn Frankel Citrenbaum. He was raised in Bound Brook until his teenage years, which he spent in Metuchen. He then returned to Bound Brook. Craig had worked as an animal control officer in the Plainfield area in the late 1990s. He was an accomplished automotive mechanic and was a Harley Davidson enthusiast. He had been active in the restoration of the Brook Theater in Bound Brook. Craig joined Faith Fellowship Church, Sayreville, where he first found his faith, then went on to become a member of Zarephath Christian Church. He had a great love for dogs and all animals. He had a kind and loving heart and will be missed by many. Craig was predeceased by his father, Dr. David Citrenbaum. He is survived by his mother, Evelyn Saltman of Bound Brook; his aunts, Faye Gloger of Middlesex, Ethel Gordon of Middle Village, Queens, New York; his cousins Marcy Rayner and husband Steven and son Tyler of North Plainfield, Bonnie Varga and husband Jim and her son Aaron Maisto of Middlesex, and many other cousins. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, March 9, at the chapel on the grounds of Zarephath Christian Church, 2 Chapel Drive, Zarephath, New Jersey 08890, with the Reverend Robert W. Cruver, Pastor, and Rabbi Jack Kramer of Congregation Knesseth Israel, Bound Brook, officiating.
