Cleone Dill

Cleone June [Granrud] Dill, 82, passed away on May 4, 2016, in her Piscataway home, with her family by her side. Born June 5, 1933, in Westwood, California, she was the daughter of Arthur K. and Marie Timone Granrud. In August, 1977, Cleone and family moved from Seattle, Washington, to Piscataway. During her 39 years in New Jersey, she was busy with social and public service activities. She was a member and officer in the Piscataway Chapter of the League of Women Voters; member and past president of the Women’s League of Rutgers University, and chair of their Gourmet Group; past president of the Women’s Literary Club of Bound Brook and chair of their Legislation Committee. She was very active in the Presbyterian Church, Bound Brook, serving as a Deacon and on the Fellowship Commission, where she introduced the Eight is Enough dinners. Cleone liked to play bridge as often as she could. She and her husband, Ellis, played bridge in Couples and Duplicate games. A sister-in-law of the late Robert Ellis, Cleone is survived by her loving husband of sixty-three years, Ellis H. Dill; her son, Michael and Yvonne [Lumsden] Dill of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; her daughter, Susan and James Cosentino of Piscataway; her beloved grandson, Brandon Cosentino; her siblings, Alvina May Ellis of Seattle, Norene Kay Boller of Sacramento, California, Kenneth Arthur Granrud of Sacramento; her brother-in-law Lester Boller; her sister-in-law, Patrica Granrud, and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Monday, May 9, at the United Methodist Church of Bound Brook, with the Reverend Dr. Nancy R. Birdsong, Pastor of the Presbyterian Church, officiating. Interment will be at Bound Brook Cemetery. Following interment, there will be a reception at the Bound Brook Presbyterian Fellowship Center.
