Clara St. George

Clara Mary St. George, 94, beloved mother and grandmother, died Wednesday, December 10, 2014, at home. Born September 30, 1920, in Raritan, she was the daughter of Giovanni and Antoinette Bresacin Monteschio. Raised in Bound Brook, she graduated from Bound Brook High School, Class of 1937. She moved to Pt. Pleasant in 1998, and Brick in 2000. Clara had worked as a secretary for Research Cottrell, Bridgewater, for over 20 years, retiring in 1986. She had been a member of the Bound Brook Democratic Club and a Parishioner of St. Mary of Czestochowa R. C. Church, while living in Bound Brook. She was an avid antique collector and traveling to battleship USS Arkansas (BB-33) alumni reunions with her husband, a World War II and Korean War veteran. Clara was predeceased by her husband, Frederick St. George, who died in 1999, and her brother, Arthur Monteschio. She is survived by her son, David and his wife Cathy of Brick, her beloved grandchildren, Michaela, Matthew, and Madison, and several nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will begin 8:30 A.M. Saturday, December 13, at Hagan - Chamberlain Funeral Home, 225 Mountain Ave., Bound Brook, followed by a 9:30 A.M. funeral prayer service at the funeral home. Interment will be at Resurrection Burial Park, Piscataway. Memorial contributions may be made to United Cerebral Palsy, 721 Broadway, Bayonne, NJ 07002 (www.ucp.org).
