Clara Sgro

Clara Parolise Sgro, 88, died Wednesday, February 1, 2017, at the New Jersey Eastern Star Home, Bridgewater. Born March 30, 1928, in Brooklyn, New York, she was the daughter of Angelo and Mary Chiola. She was a lifelong resident of South Bound Brook. Clara was a homemaker devoted to her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved her dogs, Goldie, Coopie, and Bella. Clara was predeceased by her husband, Samuel F. Parolise, in 1966. She is survived by her sons, Samuel and wife Ellen Parolise of Bound Brook, Ronald Parolise of South Bound Brook; her daughter, Eileen Parolise - Shiffner and husband Greg, of Oceanport; her grandchildren, Christine Parolise, Samuel F. and wife Katie Parolise; her beloved great-grandchildren, Michael Francis and Jacob Samuel Parolise, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 8:30 A.M. Tuesday, February 7, at the funeral home, followed by a 9:00 A.M. Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Mercy R. C. Church, South Bound Brook. Interment will be at Resurrection Burial Park, Piscataway. Friends will be received 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. Monday, at the funeral home.
