Charles Tomaro, “Yut,” 94, died, Sunday, January 14, 2018, at Genesis Health Care, Bridgewater. Born in Bridgewater, he was the son of Joseph and Carmella (Pulsinelli) Tomaro. He was a lifelong Bound Brook Resident. He was a World War II Navy veteran. He worked for forty years at Union Carbide Corporation in Bound Brook before retiring in 1983. After his retirement he worked for the Borough of Bound Brook for thirteen years as the Parking Code Enforcer. He was a Communicant of St. Joseph Church, Bound Brook, a member of the Thomas J. Kavanaugh V.F.W. Post No. 2290, Manville, the Giles Biondi Post No 63, American Legion, Bound Brook. He coached the Bound Brook Little League “Congers” team for fifteen years. Charles was pre-deceased by his wife Congetta Petio Tomaro in 1992. He is survived by his two sons, Charles Tomaro and his wife Lori of South Bound Brook, and Frank Tomaro of Landsdale, Pennsylvania, and his grandchildren Kristine, Frank Carmen, Holly, Amy, and Peter. Funeral services will begin 9:00 A.M. Friday, January 19, 2018, at the funeral home, followed by a 10:00 A.M. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Church, Bound Brook. Visitation will be Thursday, January 18, 2018, from 2:00 - 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
