Charles Mohr

Charles N. Mohr, Jr., 85, died Friday, February 14, 2014, at Arbor Glen, Bridgewater. Born in Palmerton, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Charles and Labelle (Fatzinger) Mohr. Mr. Mohr was a graduate of Palmerton High School, and Drexel University, where he was a member of the Alpha Pi Fraternity. He was a US Army Veteran serving from 1946 - 1947. He received the World War II Victory Medal and the Army of Occupation Medal, Japan. Mr. Mohr, was a civil engineer, working for the New York Port Authority, and was a project manager with Bristol Myers Squibb, retiring in 1990 after 40 years with the company. A true family man, he, along with his wife and children, built their log cabin vacation home in the Poconos. He was a very active member of the Presbyterian Church, Bound Brook, serving as a Church Elder, Deacon, and a member of the choir. He helped to rebuild the church after it was partially destroyed by a fire in the 1970’s. Singing was his passion. He was a member of the Hunterdon Harmonizers, and Hounds for Harmony, Barbershop Chorus, and most recently the Senior Quartet, performing singing Valentines. Mr. Mohr, was predeceased by his first wife, Claire, in 1987. He is survived by his wife, Vera; his sons, Dan (Cindy) of Allentown, David (Kim) of Delaware; his daughters, Debbie (Ken) Wells of Greenbrook; Donna (Larry) Duca of New York; his grandchildren, Kristen, Brandon, Kyle, and Justin, and his sister, Marilyn Epperly of Martinsville. Funeral services will be 9:00 A.M. Saturday, February 22, at the Presbyterian Church, Bound Brook. Burial will be at Lake Nelson Memorial Park, Piscataway. Visiting will be 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 P.M. Friday, at Hagan - Chamberlain Funeral Home, 225 Mountain Avenue, Bound Brook. Memorial donations may be made to The American Cancer Society, P.O.
