Charles J. “Charlie” Miller, 67, died peacefully, Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at home. Born April 10, 1950, in Plainfield, he was the son of John and Dorothy Kruger Miller. He had resided in South Bound Brook for forty-one years. He was a United States Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam war, serving eight years. Charles was a truck driver for Blejwas Associates, Branchburg, retiring in 2012. He was a Lifetime Member of the Marine Corps League, the American Legion, and the National Rifle Association. He also held membership in Augies Fellowship of RC Flyers, Somerset, the Somerset Signal Senders, the New Jersey Live Steamers, the Somerset County Fish and Game Protective Association, and the Association of New Jersey Rifle and Pistol Clubs. He enjoyed radio controlled (RC) planes, helicopters, and drones, motorcycles, attending Somerset Patriots baseball games, and taking steam train excursions. Charles was predeceased by his parents, and his sisters, Ellen Niskala and Jean Flax Berger. He is survived by his loving wife of forty-seven years, Susan Wisbeski Miller; his daughter, Julia L. (Mark) Miller; his beloved grandchildren, Zachary and Willow; his brothers, Jack (Rita) Miller, Jeffrey (Karen) Doremus; his sisters-in-law, Cathy Wisbeski and Jean Hulik; his brother-in-law, Henry (Maria) Wisbeski; his step-father, Harry Doremus; his mother-in-law, Catherine Wisbeski; numerous nieces, nephews, and countless friends. Services are private, at the convenience of the family.
